DONATING TO MINUTEMAN PROJECT

Jack Abramoff, the disgraced Republican lobbyist, is another member of the Norquist clique. Abramoff is the lobbyist at the center of a corruption scandal involving Indian gambling money that is threatening to bring down the Republican majority whip in the House, Tom Delay.

In an article appearing in the Weekly Standard, Andrew Ferguson writes,

For 25 years Abramoff has been a key figure in the conservative movement that led to the 1994 Republican Revolution, which once promised "to drain the swamp" in Washington, D.C. Abramoff is mentor and close friend to the prominent activist Grover Norquist, and to Ralph Reed, founder of the Christian Coalition, highly successful political operative, and self-advertised adviser to the Bush White House. Both Reed and Norquist, in fact, lead organizations that were recipients of the tribes' generosity, through Abramoff's intercession. (A Lobbyist's Progress: Jack Abramoff and the end of the Republican Revolution, December 20, 2004).

CANNON'S 527 CO-DIRECTORS: WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

NORQUIST DEFENDS CANNON; ATTACKS PROJECTUSA
H-1b visas: See FoxNews.com piece by Matt Hayes of Friends of Immigration Law Enforcement (FILE), "U.S. Tech Workers Bear Brunt of Immigration Policy," about Chris Cannon's work for H-1b legislation. A response from Grover Norquist defending Cannon appeared a week later on FoxNews (Jobs, Immigration, and the U.S. Economy, May 02, 2004) Here is the complete Norquist response, posted on the Border Trade Alliance website (scroll down). The Border Trade Alliance is a pro-NAFTA lobbying group that sells "sponsorships," in return for which meetings with government officials in NAFTA countries are promised.
